Choice Option for Title 1 Schools Students attending a Title 1 School, which has been identified as “in need of improvement” status, have the option to attend another public school within the District that is not in improvement status. Title 1 provides federal support for schools with a high number of students from low-income families. Title 1 status is based on the percentage of students on Free and Reduced Lunch. School improvement status is determined by Florida’s Adequate Yearly Progress Report (AYP). Special restrictions apply.
