Choice Option for Title 1 Schools Students attending a Title 1 School, which has been identified as “in need of improvement” status, have the option to attend another public school within the District that is not in improvement status. Title 1 provides federal support for schools with a high number of students from low-income families. Title 1 status is based on the percentage of students on Free and Reduced Lunch. School improvement status is determined by Florida’s Adequate Yearly Progress Report (AYP). Special restrictions apply. Contact Office of School Choice for more information.
